I am saddened and sick.

Got home from KY tonight to find out that a friend and riding buddy was killed in a bike accident last night. Mike Worthey, who many knew as Naguethey, was riding home from visiting friends and hit a deer. He was found this afternoon. I've only known Mike personally for a few years. He lived an hour or so north of me and we'd get together when we could. However we'd interacted for about 7 years on the Hondachopper forum. Shortly after we'd aquainted via the website, he moved out to the Pacific Northwest and had just moved back within the last year or so to IL, after a short stay in the Louisville area. We spent some time in NC last summer and recently were working on Brumie's KZ build...just a few weeks ago. The news just sickens me. Mike could talk to anyone and didn't know a stranger. He had more experiences and adventures in his 39 years than many people have in their entire lifetime. He was just finishing hand building a canoe for a survival trip to Canada. He was definately an intersting cat and had much to say. My sincere condolences to his family and friends. We miss you Mike.

  3. I am not a member, but have known Mike since I was in Jr high. I know his love for skateboarding, motorcycles, hunting, fishing, indian culture, his closest friends and his family. Then I met my (now) husband, who happened to be his cousin and BEST FRIEND. They grew up together, doing all of the things they both loved together til this very day. We went riding together, Mike on his bike & us on our Honda GoldWing. Mike just went out in the woods recently here in Watseka, IL. on a snowy day "camping" and my husband was the one to pick him up the next day. My husband just spoke to him on Saturday morning about a canoe he was building. We all love Mike and my husband (and I) are terribly torn over this tragedy. It still doesn't seem real and is terribly unbearable. We extend our love and compassion to his parents and extended family and closest friends. John Micheal Worthey...you are forever loved and will be terribly missed. We love you....Bill & Elaina Kincade
