...to get on a 40 year old, garage built motorcycle and ride across the country? We pondered this more than once this summer as we heard from several along the way how envious they were of us. Why don’t they just do it? Some have obligations such as children and significant others to provide for, mortgages to pay and other monetary burdens. Roots firmly holding them in one place, understandable I guess, just not my style. But I think there’s more to it than just being free of obligations, you gotta have balls. Well I don’t have balls so let’s call it confidence, confidence in yourself, your machine and your support network. Or maybe you just need to be a little off your rocker… Who knows, but we did it!

Spent 3 nights here while working on Jen's bike. After troubleshooting this and that we finally procured a rescue vehicle. Duncan came to our rescue once again and delivered us to my buddy Scot's house in Portland. We think we got it ironed out, but still a bit leary...ran about 200 miles south today on Hwy 101. After all this travellin' I finally saw the Pacific Ocean!
